This Quiet Moment

I recline here, with my six month old miracle balanced on my lap, leaning into my breast. His rosy cheeks and sparkly eyes put butterflies in my stomach. Wearing nothing but a brown cloth diaper and an amber necklace, there he is, my precious little cherub. I stare at the dimpled elbows and soft skin […]

Twelve Pounds of Sugar

This five month old boy is sweet and delicious. I can’t get enough of him!   Proverbs 4:3-5 When I was a son with my father, tender, the only one in the sight of my mother, he taught me and said to me, “Let your heart hold fast my words; keep my commandments, and live. […]

Photo Challenge, Week Four

Marshmallow Munchkins

Isn’t there something just completely, inexplicably wonderful about the way children look like fairytale characters when they play in snow mounds, bundled up like the softest of marshmallows?!    I love these marshmallow munchkins.

Celebrating Life with Hope

We are continuing to celebrate life! Simeon’s lungs filled with oxygen 36 days ago. Yesterday Simeon’s head was covered with water and oil. He has always belonged to Christ, but yesterday he was officially welcomed into the Church by receiving the sacrament of baptism. He is officially a son of the covenant, heir of God’s […]

Joy Multiplied

The joy of having these four children in my arms is indescribable. Simply incalculable! And that joy is multiplied by the delight they take in one another.      Thanks be to God for these immeasurable blessings!
