He is risen, indeed!
Alleluia!!

Hebrews 13:1, “Let brotherly love continue.”
1 Peter 3:8, “Finally, all of you, have unity of mind, sympathy, brotherly love, a tender heart, and a humble mind.”
1 Corinthians 4:9, “Now concerning brotherly love you have no need for anyone to write to you, for you yourselves have been taught by God to love one another.”
1 Peter 1:22, “Having purified your souls by your obedience to the truth for a sincere brotherly love, love one another earnestly from a pure heart.”
These are from Evangeline’s newborn photo shoot when she was nine days old & weighing 5-12. Now she’s 36 days old & weighs 7-12. How quickly they grow & change! I’m so thankful for the beautiful memories contained in the pictures from her earliest, tiniest days.
Evangeline Joy was baptized in the Name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit last Lord’s Day. What a blessing, privilege, responsibility, & testimony of God’s covenant promises! May God give Evangeline the grace and strength to live faithfully in light of her Holy Baptism.

When we were designing our home to be built, we included a room across the hallway from the master bedroom labeled “nursery” but in my head I always added “or craft room.” We were in the midst of our RPL journey ~ our recurrent miscarriages ~ and were not sure that we would be able to have more children on earth.
But the Lord provided in amazing ways. Truly.
And He has given us two reasons already for this room to be officially “the nursery.” Thanks and glory be to Him alone!

Psalm 92:1-5
It is good to give thanks to the Lord,
to sing praises to Your name, O Most High;
to declare Your steadfast love in the morning,
and Your faithfulness by night,
to the music of the lute and the harp,
to the melody of the lyre.
For You, O Lord, have made me glad by Your work;
at the works of Your hands I sing for joy.
How great are Your works, O Lord!
Your thoughts are very deep!
So we have gotten the question quite often lately, what we call our daughter… and then also how to pronounce it.
While it had never really crossed our minds that we would be asked this, it’s kind of fun to spell it out and set the record straight from the beginning. 🙂
Our daughter’s name is Evangeline. Yes, that’s what we call her. Nope, she doesn’t have a nickname. (Just like the rest of the family!) And as for pronunciation, it goes like this:
eh-VAN-juh-leen
And it’s awfully beautiful, don’t ya think? 🙂
The most delicious sweets that I’ve ever had. 🙂
Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
