I’ve been collecting wine bottle labels for years, and am finally putting them to use on a large canvas!

HI !!
I have been searching the internet looking for used for sale wine bottle labels..I came across your site & was wondering if you have a sorce or did you get your by consuming all the bottles yourself(with friends etc.)?
I love wine & have a wine theme going on in my home & looking for labels that interest me to group & frame different themes..
Any help or suggestions I would be grateful for..
Kindest Regards,
Katie
Hi Katie! It took us nearly seven years to collect these labels, and yes, about 90% of the bottles were ones that were consumed in our home. The other 10% were consumed in my parents’ home, and my mother gave them to me for this project.
I did wine cork boards a few years ago for gifts, and sent an email to our church asking people to save me their wine corks one summer in anticipation of making them. That would be a way you could gather more labels in a shorter amount of time. Or if you do facebook, I’ve heard of people posting requests for friends there to do similar collecting & giving.
For my project, I wanted the labels to have some meaning to them: they are from family dinners, baptism parties, various celebrations, and from a Sunday night tradition my hubby & I have done for years where we have wine, cheese, and chocolate after the kids have gone to bed. So I didn’t want labels from others for this particular project.
Hope that helps. 🙂
