So we have gotten the question quite often lately, what we call our daughter… and then also how to pronounce it.
While it had never really crossed our minds that we would be asked this, it’s kind of fun to spell it out and set the record straight from the beginning. 🙂
Our daughter’s name is Evangeline. Yes, that’s what we call her. Nope, she doesn’t have a nickname. (Just like the rest of the family!) And as for pronunciation, it goes like this:
And it’s awfully beautiful, don’t ya think? 🙂
The most delicious sweets that I’ve ever had. 🙂
Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
1 Corinthians 13:4-7
It is with great joy that I have the blessing of announcing our good news to you:
our daughter is born!
…for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy…
Evangeline Joy was delivered safely to our arms by our kind Father of all mercies, on February 3rd 2013 at 5:11am. She is 6lbs and 19″ of loveliness.
Praise the Lord!
Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good!
For His mercy endures forever.
